Are You Stuck?

“Are You Stuck”

Blessings Truth Church Family!

We hope you were able to join us, either in person or on-line this Sunday. The Praise Team was filled with Holy Ghost fire as they led the congregation into heartfelt devotion, praise, love and gratitude to our Lord and Savior!

Pastor Jason opened the service in prayer: “Thanking the Lord for surrounding us with His love. He also asked the congregation to lift Pastor Simone up in prayer, as she is home resting. “Thank You Lord for the ability to preach and teach. I thank You Lord for Your presence in the house. Lord, we decree revelation over our minds today. Lord I thank you for spiritual renewal and awakening. Mark us today with the power of Your spirit and the truth of Your word.  Have Your way Lord in our minds, hearts and bodies. Have Your way Lord.”

Pastor Jason’s message today was entitled “Being Stuck”.

Sermon message…

Have you ever felt stuck?

Do you ever feel like it can’t get any better?

The culture we live in today is being controlled by the enemy.

Satan…the devil is the god of this age. (2nd Corinthians 4:3-4)

The world today is ruled by the devil.

The devil is the author of confusion and the father of lies.

We live in a very dysfunctional world. It’s crazy out there!

Since the fall of man, we have all been cursed and we are all born sinners with a sin nature and deficiencies.

We find ourselves accepting things as they come and basically just living in survival mode – but we don’t have to accept such a life because we are meant for something more!

Life is not just about survival – there are many people in the world today just surviving!

A successful life is not measured by longevity.

Sometimes your place of freedom, becomes your place of bondage!

One of the places we get stuck is a place called Sin!

Sin produces guilt – guilt produces shame – Shame makes you feel unworthy and gives you a lack of confidence which then causes condemnation!

Living with self-condemnation is living in hell on earth because you have inflicted this bondage upon yourself because you can’t forgive yourself!

Don’t live with “mixture” praising God, praising the devil, praising God…

Unfortunately, “mixture” is rampant in the body of Christ!

When you live with “mixture”, condemnation becomes your companion – you love God but never learn how to “overcome”, so then you lose hope!

The bible say’s “Sin shall no longer have dominion over your life”! (Romans 6:14)

God planned a place where we would be forgiven of our sins – It’s called Calvary!

We need to accept that He already forgave us when he took our place on that cross!

We need to live life in the overflow as God intended us to live!

Many people in church – saved people – are not overflowing!

Some people are stuck in a “former glory”.

Most Christians don’t progress beyond their initial encounter when they first got saved!

We need to have qualitative growth!

As Christians, our quality of life should be increasing and constantly upgrading!

One thing that is constant in life is change!

God’s mercy is new every day! He is doing a new thing! (Lamentations 3:23)

God wants to break you out of places of bondage. (1st John 2:12-14)

One of the biggest traps leading to the bondage of sin is boredom – a relationship with God that has lost its passion and has no more hunger or desire for God or the things of God.

We are in trouble when we find other things more important than God.

We need to stay in the Word, in church and maintain our hunger and passion for the Lord!

Remember this … today’s complacency will always become tomorrow’s captivity!

You have to keep moving! If you are standing still you are going to be left behind!

Don’t stand still because you are afraid to make mistakes! Learning from your mistakes helps you to grow!

When you do move, move with wisdom and seek God’s will and timing.

Sometimes we get involved in situations too quickly – the timing is off.

Sometimes kids grow up too fast and the culture becomes their parent.

Everybody that is broken didn’t break themselves – sometimes you just get dropped!

Jesus is greater than all your broken places.

God gave us our family to humble us, our friends to support us and our enemies to promote us!

Enemies create movement and cause you to fight a battle and promote yourself!

You never know how much strength and faith you have until you are forced to use it!

Remember – the battle is not yours – it’s the Lord’s!

God can take what was meant for bad and turn it for good! (Isaiah 54:17)

Your sins have been forgiven! The stains have been removed! A debt has been canceled! A relationship has been restored!

He is greater!

“Scripture References”

…the god of this world  … 2nd Corinthians 4:3-4
And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. For what we proclaim is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, with ourselves as your servants[c] for Jesus’ sake.

Sin no longer controls you … Romans 6:14
14 For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace.

He is doing a new thing  … Lamentations 3:23
Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.

God wants to break you out of bondage … 1st John 2:12-14
12 I am writing to you, little children,
because your sins are forgiven for his name’s sake.
13 I am writing to you, fathers,
because you know him who is from the beginning.
I am writing to you, young men,
because you have overcome the evil one.
I write to you, children,
because you know the Father.
14 I write to you, fathers,
because you know him who is from the beginning.
I write to you, young men,
because you are strong,
and the word of God abides in you,
and you have overcome the evil one.

God can turn it around … Isaiah 54:17
17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.
