This Weeks “GOOD NEWS” Letter
Blessings Truth Church Family!
We hope you were able to join us, either in person or on-line this Sunday. Before we continue with the overview and summary of Sunday’s service, we would like to share a message from our Children’s Ministry Pastor, Bob Tarbes:
In our children’s ministry here at Truth church the goal is to teach our children foundational bible scripture that every child should be challenged to learn, know and retain about Gods word. As your family pastor and children’s pastor I have created the Arsenal of Truth which challenges each child to learn and memorize a monthly challenge. We call our monthly challenges this month’s Arrow. Each month for example, the monthly arrow will cover challenges like fully understanding Salvation and Baptism, memorizing the Fruit of the Spirit, Who were Jesus 12 Disciples, the Ten Commandments, the books of the old and New Testament and their categories such as (Old Testament) – books of law, history, wisdom or poetry, major and minor prophets, the (New Testament) -biography or gospels, history, letters, and prophecy. It is important that foundational teaching include these monthly challenges so that your child has a better understanding of the Bible, Gods Holy Word that speaks Truth and helps a child grow spiritually. The goal is to meet these challenges each month and that by memorization of the monthly challenge they earn bible coins as an incentive to promote excitement to promote learning. Each quarter, they can spend their bible coins at the Bible coin Sunday store which takes place every 3 months of the year. Every child who completes the year of monthly challenges will be presented a bible with their name inscribed in front of our main congregation at the end of the year.

Overview & Summary of Sermon:
We were honored to have Laura-Lee Booth join the Praise Team and the congregation today, as we began worship with uplifting joyful praise and concluded with heartfelt devotion and gratitude for our miracle working Lord and Savior.
*A special thanks to Kent & Laura-Lee Booth who will be assisting us for the next couple of months to develop a good structure for our church and our Sunday morning experience.
Pastor Jason led the congregation in a prayer for healing for the families and friends mourning the loss of loved ones, in the senseless massacre in a Pittsburgh Synagogue, and prayer for healing and revival for our nation.
Change constitutes conflict.
There always has to be some type of resolution that takes place in your life when you enter into change.
We are always transforming from one thing to another, spirit, soul and body.
Our salvation manifests in who we are as a whole being.
Our spirit man was saved and came to life when we said “Yes” to Jesus.
We are being saved in the realm of our mind, will and emotions as we walk with Christ and renew our minds daily. (Romans 12:1-2)
The more we walk with Jesus every day, the more we look like Jesus every day!
Transformation takes place in every arena of life.
In this life, we need to learn how to overcome.
In this life there aren’t any rewards for those who don’t learn to overcome.
If you don’t learn how to overcome in this life, what will you have to lay at the foot of Jesus in the next?
No matter what we face in life, if we put our faith and trust in God, we will overcome.
Remember the Lord is our Shepherd, and He is with us always (Psalm 23: 1-6)
In this life God doesn’t want us to live in lack and bondage until we get to heaven, he wants us to live in abundance and the overflow while we are still here on earth, because the Kingdom of God is alive and well in our hearts today!
If we want to be a part of what God is doing, we are going to have to go through what he went through (John 12:23-26)
If you want to be a part of the Kingdom of God, you are going to have to learn to walk through some things and be an overcomer
The common denominator that we all have as believers is the fact that we all have to go through transformation.
God loves us just the way we are but He loves us so much that He doesn’t want to leave us there.
Once we are saved, God has called us to a place of transformation.
As we travel along the journey of life, we go through things that will either make us bitter or make us better.
Transformation comes from the battles that we fight most of the time.
How you respond to any situation that you face in this life is your choice!
Every battle we face in life happens between your two ears – in your mind!
The only true battle is how you position yourself and whether you will stand in faith and believe that God is going to do what He said He would do to bring you out of your situation victorious!
We need to fight the good fight of faith!
Everything you go through in your life will mark you and shape you!
God is in control of your life when you are fighting the good fight of faith because He is taking you somewhere!
Transformation prepares you for your next in life.
We do not know the details of the journey God has set before us, because if we did, we may not be willing to take that journey.
We usually envision the mountaintops of the destiny God has set for us, but If we knew the valleys we would have to cross and the giants we would have to face while on the journey, we may decide to settle for where we are now, because it’s easier.
Everyone wants a testimony, but only few are willing to be put to a test!
You can’t talk about how God moved a giant in your life if you don’t ever get a backbone and stand up to face a giant!
God wants to work something in us to transform us to become more like him!
If Jesus had to go through a valley, then we have to go through a valley!
God doesn’t want us to just be a church attender, he wants to move us to an arena of our life where we declare the works of the Lord to the next generation!
God says we are more than a conqueror and He has called us to be on assignment for the Kingdom, an example to the world and live a life of an overcomer, blessed and victorious!
Some people think that because that they are a Christian, they should have no troubles! That’s not what the bible says!
Here is the good news… Jesus sent the Holy Spirit precisely so that we should have power to fight the good fight of faith, so take comfort in knowing that if you put your trust in the Lord and fight the “Good fight of faith”, you will overcome! (John 16:33)
